As I mentioned in the bonus ploughman’s sandwich review, I have moved away from the hustle and bustle of Tooting to somewhere much more quiet, sleepy and with a lot more space. No longer am I trapped in a tiny flat working from the kitchen table or the sofa, I now have a whole room to use as an office with a proper desk and everything (just as the pandemic has ended).
I have worked from home with a proper set up before and you may remember that was one of the reasons for picking up the Christmas Sandwich Review Blog again in 2016. Yes, when you have a comfortable set up at home, it’s far too easy to forget to get dressed and go out of the house, so I started reviewing sandwiches again to make sure I went out every day. Well it’s happening again, especially as there are no shops only a few minutes walk away. So to meet that head on, instead of waiting until Christmas for the next batch of reviews, I am pleased to announce the launch of:
THE EASTER EGG REVIEW BLOG TAKEOVER

Yes, from tomorrow until Easter Friday, I will be reviewing a different Easter egg every day so you know which are the best ones to buy and so you get to see what eating that amount of chocolate in two weeks will do to me, but at least it’ll get me to go out for a walk every day. So from tomorrow until Easter I shall be reviewing choclate eggs and looking out for some of my favourite confectionary brands, including:
- Aero Mint Bubbles
- Percy Pigs
- Reece’s Peanut-butter Cups
- Iced Gems
- Lion Bar
- Fry’s Turkish Delight
- Oreo Cookies
- Opal Fruits (I’m old, they’ll never be Starbursts!)
- Lindt Lindor
- Starbar
- Dime Bar
- After Eights
- Yorkie (especially biscuit and raisin)
So make sure you come back tomorrow, or follow the Facebook page so the first review pops up in your feed in between the adverts, photos of other people’s children and Brexit voters you went to school with complaining about how you can’t print the word ‘Easter’ on the eggs anymore in case you get arrested or something.
