This review was meant to be for Tuesday, but I woke up on Tuesday morning with some cold and felt like crap. Forcing myself to get any work done was hard enough, let alone writing a review I can’t really be bothered to write, but you know what they say – better late than never! I’ve finished work for Christmas now so I’m writing this in my pyjamas at 10.30am after playing some F-Zero 99 and doing a bit of yoga. Up yours, work.
This is the other Spitalfields sandwich I mentioned last week. After seeing the sandwich from Melt, my colleagues joined me to check out both sandwiches and whilst most of them decided to go to Melt, I obviously that to try this due to my obligations as the Christmas Sandwich Review Blog and boy oh boy was it worth waiting for.

Crunch golden brioche, slow roasted rosemary Porchetta with braised red cabbage, cider marinated apples, smoked cheddar, chives and gravy mayo
This sandwich was pretty incredible. Is it a Christmas turkey sandwich? No, but they never said it was, it’s a Boxing Day sandwich and I’ve reviewed plenty of them before so shut your face. This had super gooey cheese, a real sweet taste from the red cabbage and the apple that went perfectly with the thick slice of pork and it was another messy one, with gravy mayo going everywhere. It was really, really good and I think it wants to be at £13 for just the sandwich. If you only have £13 disposable income to spare and it’s a choice between this or buying your children a Christmas present – get the sandwich.

But Rich Uncle Skeleton didn’t stop there – I also couldn’t resist their 1000 Layer Potato after seeing someone else get one. It’s basically very thin slices of potato packed together with garlic, thyme and paprika, deep fried and served on a stick. What’s not to like? Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, it was pretty much a roast potato kebab and that is right up my street.
There may or may not be one more review tomorrow. It all depends whether I want to go out of the house in the wind and rain or just hang around playing Xbox in my pyjamas for two days.
