£2.50 – Turkey breast, chicken stock mayonnaise, pork sausage, cranberry sauce, sage and onion stuffing and beechwood smoked bacon in malted brown bread.
Yes, it’s December and it’s back – the internationally renowned Christmas Sandwich Review Blog. Every day this month you can read a Christmas Sandwich review. Well every weekday. If I’m not too busy. Or can be bothered. And, as is tradition, the first review is on 1st December – even though it’s the weekend! Please, don’t call me a hero.
As you well know, last year I encounted a problem where every sandwich shop was selling exactly the same sandwich as the year before and I was slowly losing the will to live. But because I love you and you need these reviews in your life, I have a solution. To get around this, and to get the blog bang on trend, I will eating a vegan or vegetarian alternative if possible. Except for today, because the Tesco Express near my house didn’t have any vegan or vegetarian alternatives which, as any gender studies student on Twitter will tell you, is literally a hate crime in 2018. Tesco, do better.
So to the sandwich and you guessed it – even though they finally changed the packaging it’s the fucking same as 2017 and 2016. For fuck’s sake. Also it’s 15p more expensive thanks to you Brexit mongs. WELL DONE THAT’S GOING WELL ISN’T IT?
The turkey is a bit more chunky and it’s my first one of the year so I really enjoyed the stuffing, but it’s the same. Read the previous reviews. What a good start.
Oh and I’ve written this on my phone on my way to the pub cos I’m a lad, so if you think it’s cool to point out spelling and grammar errors – SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH.
